Dissolving NaCl in water with water evaporating and average KE slider

Added slider to model average kinetic energy of solution: move forward 0 to 1 according to slider value. Added line graph to compare the average kinetic energy of the solution to the number of NaCl crystals present in the solution. For student investigations, independent variable will be the average kinetic energy (temperature) of the solution; dependent variable will be the amount of time required for complete re-crystallization.

Sodium Chloride is an ionic compound. Its chemical symbol is NaCl
Dissolving is a physical change in water
NaCl (s) ----> Na+(aq) + Cl-(aq)

General Info about the model:
Clear button: Clears all
Slider: determines amount of NaCl added.
Add NaCl button: will add the amount determined by slider. If clicked again, more NaCl will be added and the total will be indicated by the Data box.
Add water button: this button is important since without water, NaCl will not dissociate into ions.
***Note: Volume variable lowers the level of water. Water molecules are deleted when they reach the top level.
