Greenhouse Gases Base Model REMIX + CO2 + albedo

qualitatively, model seems to behave as expected, but due to simplifications, e.g. CO2 decay seems to be too fast once factory stops CO2 generation, so should use simulation with caution.

unfortunately, couldn't overcome bug when tried to incorporate prior simulation feature of terrain color dependence on the value of albedo.

if you don't see the various sliders / widgets, resize the web browser.

to move spaceland (i.e. green simulation area), left-click, hold, then move mouse.

to rotate spaceland (e.g. to observe 3-D), ctrl + alt + left click mouse, then move mouse.

---------------------------
This model simulates the effect of solar radiation and albedo on temperature.

In this model, the sun emits solar radiation (yellow circles) which travel down to the Earth's surface. Once they collide with the Earth's surface, some of the radiation is reflected while another portion is absorbed and then emitted as infra-red radiation (referred to as "heat" here, represented by red circles). The portion reflected and absorbed is determined by the albedo of the Earth, set at 60% here. The more solar energy reflected, the less heat is created.

The Earth's temperature rises with the "heat" and stabilizes around a certain temperature.
